Chassis for Robot - Line or Path follower Robot / Remote Controlled Robot

Chassis:

A chassis consists of an internal framework that supports a man-made object in its construction and use. It is analogous to an animal's skeleton. An example of a chassis is the under part of a motor vehicle, consisting of the frame (on which the body is mounted) with the wheels and machinery.

Chassis is the base frame of a car, carriage, or other wheeled vehicle. The rectangular, usually steel frame that holds the body and motor of an automotive vehicle.

Chassis can be made of Metal sheet, wood or ceramic. All such chassis can be made at home by using household equipments.

Chassis weight should be chosen as per the application e.g. for a transporter kind of robot you need a  heavy chassis, for making a racing robot you will need a light weight chassis.

Chassis should have good provision to fit in the wheels and clamps. Hand drills can be used to make chassis. Some exaple chassis are given below.

How to design a Chassis as per the reuirement -

Chassis is a mechanical part for making the base of the robot which can be possible to connect the motors 2 or 4.Where you can control the board to drive your robot. This is just the mechanical chassis, which is shown in the figure in which you can use 2 or 4 DC geared motors or BO Motor, 1 castor and 2 or 4 wheels with rubber rings so it can move easily in surface.

The Chassis can be of 2 motors or 4 motors so according to the motor requirement get the chassis if you are using 2 motors use this type of  chassis:-
