How to make a Wired Remote Controlled Robot - Part 1- The Mechanical Structure

Wired Robot:-
Wired robot is controlled manually or by switches. Here we are going to use switches to control the dc geared motor. Which we can make that robot to move forward, backward (reverse), right turn, left turn and turn 360 degree also
In this project we can see about the following concepts-
·         Power Supply or 9/12v battery
·         DPDT Switch Operation
·         DC Geared Motor or BO-Motor
·         Basic Motion of Robot
Tools required for this project:-
·         Soldering iron
·         Hack saw/ blade
·         Screw drivers
·         Multimeter
·         Pliers
·         Wire stripper
·         Spanner
·         Hammer

Components Used for the Project:-

·         Battery (9/12 volt, 4.5 Ah)                 -             1
·          DPDT Switch                                    -             2
·          Single Stand Wire                             -             As Required
·          DC Geared Motors/ BO Motor         -             2 or 4
·          Chassis                                              -             1
·          Switch Box                                       -             1
·          L-Camp                                             -             2 or 4
·          Wheels                                              -              2 or 4
·          Caster wheel                                     -              1

 Chassis:-

A chassis consists of an internal framework that supports a man-made object in its construction and use. It is analogous to an animal's skeleton. An example of a chassis is the under part of a motor vehicle, consisting of the frame (on which the body is mounted) with the wheels and machinery.

Chassis is a mechanical part for making the base of the robot which can be possible to connect the motors 2 or 4.Where you can control the board to drive your robot. This is just the mechanical chassis, which is shown in the figure in which you can use 2 or 4 DC geared motors or BO Motor, 1 castor and 2 or 4 wheels with rubber rings so it can move easily in surface.

Robot Chassis

The Chassis can be of 2 motors or 4 motors so according to the motor requirement get the chassis if you are using 2 motors use this type of  chassis:-

Two Wheels Chassis

Four Wheel Chassis

CASTER WHEEL:-
Caster Wheel is used for balancing the Robot and it can be used for while it turns right or left

Caster Wheel

L-CLAMP:-
L-Clamp it is used to fit the motor in it and to place on the chassis.

MOTOR:-
The motor has an operating voltage range of 1.5 to 4.5VDC and a no load speed of 23000 RPM (@4.5VDC, 70mA).

WHEELS:-
Wheel is used to move the Robot with the help motor which is fitted with the motor.

SWITCH:-
A DPDT switch is an intermediate switch placed in a multi-way switching system in order to control lamps operated by more than two switches. They are crossover switches that have four terminals. Two of these terminals are inputs, and the other two are outputs.

SWITCH BOX:-
Switch box is used to place the switch within it for controlling it easily.

WIRES:-
A wire is a single, usually cylindrical, flexible strand or rod of metal. Wires are used to bear mechanical loads and to carry electricity and telecommunications signals. Wire is commonly formed by drawing the metal through a hole in a die or draw plate. Standard sizes are determined by various wire gauges. The term wire is also used more loosely to refer to a bundle of such strands, as in 'multistranded wire', which is more correctly termed a wire rope in mechanics, or a cable in electricity.

BATTERY:-
An electric battery is a device consisting of one or more electrochemical cells that convert stored chemical energy into electrical energy. Each battery consists of a negative electrode material, a positive electrode material, an electrolyte that allows ions to move between the electrodes, and terminals that allow current to flow out of the battery to perform work.
The rechargeable battery of rating 12 Volt and 4.5 ampere rating should connect with remote switch and ...you can 9v! 8pcs AA battery (12V) holder with on/off switch
